The performer Riggan Thomson (Michael Keaton) was celebrated for his role as superhero “Birdman”. But its golden days are long gone. He plans the staging of a Broadway-piece to prove all the critics that he have even more skills. After he has to replace his leading man through the egocentric Mike Shiner (Edward Norton) Riggans gets the first real problems – the two argue incessantly. And Riggan must also grapple with his ex-wife, his mistress and his daughter.
